Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to deliver direct rehab in speech therapy upon physician referral, in line with laws and Life Care standards.

The position requires an MS/MA in SLP, ASHA CCCs eligibility or certification, and current MA licensure; CPR certification is preferred and must be maintained. New grads are welcome, with one year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• MS/MA in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• ASHA CCCs eligibility or CCCs achieved and/or meeting ASHA credentialing criteria.
• Active Massachusetts license; maintain licensure in good standing.
• One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; current throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate.
• Liaises with patients, families, and departments to plan for patient needs.
• Demonstrates good body mechanics at all times.
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Knowledgeable of post-acute care laws and regulations.
• Implements and interprets department programs, goals, and procedures.
• Performs in all competency areas including patient rights, safety and sanitation.
• Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Follows Life Care policies including harassment and compliance training.
• Displays integrity and professionalism and adheres to the Code of Conduct.
