Job summary

myPlace Health in California is hiring a Driver for our PACE program to transport participants to appointments, meals, and center activities. You will help ensure safety, comfort, and a welcoming experience while coordinating with the Transportation Coordinator and the IDT.

Requirements include a California Class C license, at least one year of driving seniors, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to obtain BLS, CPR and First Aid within 60 days; bilingual English/Spanish is

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• At least 1 year of driving frail seniors safely.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily duties.
• California Class C Driver’s License with clean driving record (5 years driving, limited violations).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience may substitute.
• Certifications: BLS, CPR and First Aid within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport participants to and from the center, offsite activities, appointments, and meals.
• Ensure participant safety during all stages of transport and boarding.
• Collaborate with the Transportation Coordinator and IDT to observe and report changes in health or well‑being.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report defects promptly.
• Communicate clearly with participants, the team, and external contacts to create a welcoming experience.
• Assist with center activities during downtime and support events.
• Take on additional duties as needed to support the mission.
