Job summary

K-Day PACE in Los Angeles seeks a dedicated transport driver to safely and timely move participants to appointments, meals, and activities. You will maintain vehicle safety, assist participants with boarding, and keep accurate daily records in line with program policies.

Requirements include a California Class B CDL with P endorsement, a clean driving record, BLS certification, and the ability to obtain an LA DOT city permit. Prior PACE or elder care transport experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current California CDL Class B with P endorsement is required.
• Safe and clean driving record within the past 3 years.
• Ability to obtain LA DOT city permit.
• Current BLS certificate required.
• Minimum of 1 year transporting the frail and elderly or driver training relevant to PACE.

Responsibilities

• Transport PACE participants safely and timely, including meals and supplies.
• Follow schedule and adjust for changes while considering participant needs.
• Communicate safety issues to Transportation Coordinator daily.
• Operate vehicle in compliance with licensing regulations.
• Maintain daily records such as inspections and fuel purchases.
• Provide door-through-door assistance and physical support as needed.
• Inspect vehicle end of day and keep it clean.
• Maintain equipment and report issues promptly.
