Job summary

Bgcarenav is seeking a Transportation Driver to directly shuttle PACE participants to and from homes, centers, and medical appointments. The role requires constant interaction with participants, caregivers, and PACE staff, with a schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m. The candidate must be 18+, hold a Kentucky driver’s license with at least two years of experience, have CPR certification, and demonstrated reading/writing proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18+ and have a Kentucky driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience.
• At least one year of work experience in transporting passengers.
• Minimum of one year’s experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs or trained upon hire.
• Minimum of one year’s experience working with a frail or elderly population or trained upon hire.
• Possesses and maintains CPR certification.
• Proficient reading and writing comprehension skills.
• No positive drug or alcohol test including pre-employment, random, post-accident, or reasonable suspicion.
• No more than 2 moving traffic violations in the last 36 months; no DUI in last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Transport PACE participants to and from home, the PACE Center, medical providers, and other destinations.
• Interact regularly with PACE participants, caregivers, community agencies, medical providers, and staff.
• Keep accurate records and stay well organized; basic computer use is expected.
