Job summary

LifeWise Academy is hiring a part-time bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a CDL with passenger endorsement where applicable or a standard license for 15-passenger vans, plus a clean driving history and a commitment to the Academy’s faith statement.

Applicants must pass a background check and yearly physician's statement process for health and safety.

Qualifications

• CDL with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) or, for 15-passenger van, no special license required.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in the last five years.
• Commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Must undergo and pass a background check and annual physician's statement for medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students with entering and exiting the vehicle.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor.
• Support LifeWise classroom activities when agreed upon.
