Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a LifeWise vehicle driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a mature Christian faith, a clean driving record, and a valid license with CDL endorsement if applicable.

Candidates must pass background checks and annual physician's statements for medical conditions. You will transport students, enforce safety rules, and help with entering/exiting the bus, maintaining a calm, caring demeanor and a clean

Qualifications

• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within five years.
• Active Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Must hold a valid driver's license; CDL with passenger endorsement may be required for larger vehicles.
• Age between 21 and 80; drivers over 75 require additional documentation.
• Subject to background check and annual physician's statement if medical conditions exist.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required pre-employment and periodically thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students getting on/off the vehicle and monitor behavior.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed upon with the Director.
