Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time vehicle driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate upholds a mature Christian faith and actively participates in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.

A valid license, clean driving record, and background checks are required. Eligibility includes age 21–80 with allowances for drivers over 75 to submit additional documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have a mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church with aligned doctrine.
• Regular driver's license; continuously licensed for at least 3 years.
• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement for 15+ passengers; or 15-passenger van requires no special license.
• Ages 21–80; drivers over 75 may need additional documentation.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in the last 5 years.
• Must pass background check and annual Physician's Statement for medical conditions.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required (pre-employment, random, and after incidents).

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the bus.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering or exiting the vehicle; demonstrate a calm, caring demeanor.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if approved by the Director.
