Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise vehicle driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. You must be punctual, responsible and maintain a clean driving record while adhering to LifeWise beliefs.

The role requires a regular driver's license, CDL with passenger endorsement for larger vehicles, and completion of background and medical checks. Expect drug tests and safety inspections as part of ongoing duties.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Regular driver's license; license continuously held for past three years.
• CDL with passenger endorsement (P) required for vehicles seating more than 15 passengers.
• 15-passenger van: no special license required.
• Age 21–80 years; drivers over 75 require additional documentation.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in past five years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy.
• Annual Physician's Statement for drivers with known medical conditions.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing as required (pre-employment, annual, incident).

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules for students; assist with entering/exiting the vehicle; demonstrate calm demeanor.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed upon with the Director.
