Job summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide care from neonatal to geriatric patients, including oxygen therapy, diagnostics, and ventilation support. You will operate RT-CRT setups, monitor ABGs and EKGs, and assist with airway management under physician orders.

The role requires an active license as a Respiratory Therapist in the practice state, with NBRC-Registered status preferred, plus BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice; NBRC-Registered Respiratory Therapist preferred.
• BLS and ACLS required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced respiratory procedures per policy.
• Review and document clinical information for each patient.
• Educate patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
