Job summary

Ochsner Health System in Louisiana is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide care for neonatal to geriatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. You will perform therapeutic procedures, oxygen therapy, ABG analysis, and ventilator support as ordered by physicians.

Requirements include an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred), current RT license, NBRC-Registered, and BLS; ACLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in respiratory therapy required.
• Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy preferred.
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist in state of practice; NBRC Registered; BLS and ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced respiratory procedures per policy.
• Reviews and documents clinical information for each patient.
• Educates patients and coworkers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Provides care based on patient age and clinical criteria; adapts to population.
• Works flexible shifts and remains compliant with safety standards.
