Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services in Carol Stream seeks a Transportation Aide responsible for transporting residents to medical appointments and to community activities, ensuring safety and courteous service.

Role involves assisting residents in and out of the van, reporting vehicle issues, and performing daily safety checks. CDL preferred; high school diploma required; 2+ years of experience. Full-time, on-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver’s License; CDL if applicable.
• At least 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive the van on scheduled appointments and activities.
• Assist residents onto and off the vehicle and to destination if required.
• Notify supervisor of any required repairs to the vehicle.
• Complete the van checklist at the beginning of each day and check gas before each trip.
• Monitor and comply with vehicle inspection schedule.
• Keep facility environment safe by removing unsafe items from driveways and walkways; report hazards.
• Clean interior and exterior of van weekly.
