Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services is seeking a Transportation Assistant to safely drive residents to medical appointments, community activities, and admissions from local hospitals. You will assist residents onto and off the van, perform daily safety checks, report any vehicle repairs, and keep the vehicle clean and ready for service.

A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are required. This is a full-time role with CDL contingencies based on assignment; CDL may be required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver’s License; CDL if applicable.
• At least 2+ years of driving/transport experience.
• Ability to assist residents and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Drive the van on scheduled appointments and activities.
• Assist residents onto and off the vehicle and to destination if required.
• Notify supervisor of required vehicle repairs.
• Complete daily van checklist and check fuel before each trip.
• Monitor vehicle inspection schedule.
• Keep facility environment safe by removing hazards and reporting to supervisor.
• Clean interior and exterior of van weekly.
