Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services is seeking a Per Diem Transportation Aide in Batavia, IL to transport residents to medical appointments and community activities in a safe, courteous manner. You will drive a van, assist residents in boarding and exiting, perform daily vehicle checks, and report any maintenance needs.

This role requires a valid driver's license (CDL if applicable) and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Sufficient physical ability and mobility for office/community settings.
• Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate equipment as required.
• Vision requirements for near and far viewing.

Responsibilities

• Drive the van on scheduled appointments and activities.
• Assist residents onto and off the vehicle and to destination if required.
• Notify supervisor of required repairs to the vehicle.
• Complete the van daily checklist and check gas before each trip.
• Monitor and comply with vehicle inspection schedule.
• Keep facility environment safe by removing hazards from driveways and walkways.
• Clean interior and exterior of van weekly.
