Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is hiring a Resident Care Associate (RCA) in Connecticut. You will support residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care, following individualized care plans, documenting services, and upholding dignity and quality of life through compassionate teamwork.

Shift options include 3pm–11pm and 11pm–7am. Full-time roles offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, life, disability, 401(k), PTO, EAP, and more.

Qualifications

• Compassionate disposition and a desire to serve; prior experience not required.
• Ability to fulfill both the physical and emotional needs of residents.
• CNA or HHA required.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain per policy.
• Upholds resident confidentiality.
• Flexible availability, including weekends.
• Demonstrates sincere compassion for seniors and families.
• Proficient with basic office equipment including computers.
• Aligns with Commonwealth Senior Living's mission.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks and coordinate with the Resident Care Director.
• Aid residents with mobility using proper techniques and equipment.
• Make routine rounds to meet needs per individualized care plans.
• Assist with lifts, moves, and transport using safe body mechanics.
• Document daily care activities per policy and regulatory standards.
• Report issues promptly to supervisor and respond to inquiries.
• Familiarize with care plans and provide support accordingly.
• Contribute observations to care planning and maintain homelike environment.
