Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking a Resident Care Associate (RCA) to support residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. The role involves assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, documenting care, and promoting residents' dignity and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and patient care mindset.
• Ability to tend to physical and emotional needs of residents.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid as per policy.
• Flexible availability including weekends to cover shifts.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks and monitor care per individualized plans.
• Aid with mobility using proper techniques to prevent accidents.
• Conduct routine rounds to ensure care plan adherence.
• Assist with lifts/moves/transport using safe body mechanics.
• Maintain skin integrity and manage continence care as needed.
• Document daily care activities per policy and regulatory standards.
• Report issues promptly to supervisor; respond to inquiries from residents, families, staff.
• Familiarize with care plans and provide tailored support.
• Contribute insights to care planning based on observations.
• Interact respectfully with residents and families to foster a homelike atmosphere.
• Provide physical, emotional, and psychosocial support.
• Adhere to residents' rights and report any incidents promptly.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures; attend trainings and meetings.
