Commonwealth Senior Living in Connecticut is seeking a Resident Care Associate (RCA) to support residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. You will assist with daily activities, follow individualized care plans, document services, and help maintain dignity and quality of life through patience, empathy, and teamwork.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, adherence to safety and confidentiality, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Compassionate disposition and a desire to serve.
• Ability to fulfill the physical and emotional needs of residents.
• CNA or HHA required.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain according to company policy.
• Upholds resident confidentiality.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, to ensure resident care and services.
• Demonstrates sincere compassion and genuine concern for the well‑being of seniors and their families.
• Proficient in using basic office equipment, including personal computers, to maintain high job performance.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks, communicating with the Resident Care Director about care provision and changes in condition.
• Aid residents with mobility using proper techniques and equipment to prevent accidents.
• Make routine resident care rounds per individualized care plans.
• Assist with lifts, moves, and transport using proper body mechanics or lifting devices.
• Maintain resident skin integrity and manage incontinence care.
• Document daily care activities per policy and regulatory standards.
• Report resident issues promptly to the supervisor.
• Respond to inquiries from residents, visitors, and staff following policy.
