Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Rocky Hill, CT, is seeking a Resident Care Associate (RCA) to support residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. You will follow individualized care plans, document services, and help maintain dignity and quality of life for residents.

Shifts: 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am. This full-time role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a culture that values compassion, teamwork, and respect for residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Compassionate disposition and a desire to serve; prior experience not required.
• Ability to fulfill both the physical and emotional needs of residents.
• CNA or HHA certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain according to policy.
• Upholds resident confidentiality and rights.
• Flexible weekend availability to support resident care.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks and communicate with care team.
• Aid residents with mobility using proper techniques and equipment.
• Perform routine care rounds per individualized care plans.
• Assist with lifts, moves, and transport using safe body mechanics.
• Document daily care activities per policy and standards.
• Report issues to supervisors promptly and maintain safety.
• Provide support to residents and families with empathy and respect.
• Attend required trainings and keep in touch with the Resident Care Director.
