Job summary

Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist to perform initial and ongoing assessments and deliver skilled interventions across outpatient, inpatient, pediatrics and off-site locations.

You will document progress in the EMR, ensure compliance with standards, supervise a PT assistant, maintain productivity, and uphold safety and quality of care. Licensure and BLS are required; 2 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in current state or meet qualifications for traineeship or temporary license in the state of current practice (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH)
• 2 years of experience in equivalent setting (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients, gathering pertinent information and develops an appropriate treatment plan with specific goals.
• Provides direct therapy to patients daily following plan of care and current standards of practice.
• Maintains records on treatment provided and patient's progress; documents in EMR in a timely manner; provides co-signature for PTA if applicable.
• Maintains productivity without compromising quality and delivers efficient care meeting department standards.
• Supervises PT assistant’s treatment interventions and professional growth.
