Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to work on-site in the Patient Services Center. You will collect venipuncture specimens, prepare them for transport, and handle related data entry with care and accuracy.

You will greet patients, explain procedures, and maintain records and logs while ensuring compliance with privacy and safety policies. This role emphasizes patient comfort and professional collaboration with PathGroup staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred (may be required based on state and laboratory guidelines).
• Phlebotomist Certification is preferred (Required in Louisiana).

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately and treats all customers courteously.
• Ensures all phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Explains venipuncture and specimen collection procedures clearly to patients.
• Completes requisitions accurately in PathConnect and/or other PathGroup computer applications.
• Enters patient, specimen, insurance, or billing information into computer with high accuracy.
