Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred. (Required in Louisiana).

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately and treats all customers courteously.
• Ensures blood and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens and explains venipuncture procedures to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Disposes of regulated biohazard materials per laws and policies.
• Completes requisitions in PathConnect and enters patient data into systems with high accuracy.
• Maintains records, logs, and PSC/IOPST technician documentation.
