Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician who performs daily PSC or in-office specimen collection and processing with accuracy and timeliness. You will interact professionally with clients, patients, and PathGroup staff, handling phlebotomy and data entry tasks while upholding privacy and safety standards.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, collecting specimens, explaining procedures, and maintaining accurate records and logs in the lab information system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred; required in Louisiana.
• At least 1 year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and treat them courteously.
• Ensure all phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Explain venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures clearly.
• Enter patient and test information accurately into computer systems.
• Maintain daily PSC/IOPST logs and assist with monthly statistics.
• Follow safety, PPE, and confidentiality procedures at all times.
