Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to support the PSC and in-office operations. You will collect specimens, greet patients with courtesy, and ensure accurate data entry and timely processing according to established procedures.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and adherence to safety, privacy, and regulatory policies. Prior phlebotomy experience is preferred, with Louisiana-specific certification considerations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred (may be required by state guidelines).
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred (required in Louisiana).
• Experience in a healthcare or lab setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers professionally and ensure courteous service.
• Collect specimens accurately and on time following established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Enter patient and test information accurately into PathConnect or other systems; verify billing data.
