Job summary

Luminis Health, Inc. is seeking a phlebotomist to perform laboratory specimen collection across patient ages, ensuring sample quality for testing. The role includes venipuncture, processing, and shipping specimens within a hospital campus and contracted labs.

Candidates should have high school diploma or equivalent with specialized phlebotomy training; preferred: BLS CPR and relevant outpatient/acute care experience. Travel to multiple sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Specialized phlebotomy training is required or preferred.
• BLS CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, capillary sampling, and other specimen collection methods.
• Enter orders in LIS and resolve unclear test orders with providers.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort during blood collection.
• Prepare specimens and shipping batches for transport to labs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and assist with workflow handoffs.
• Monitor and manage supply inventory to conserve resources.
• Troubleshoot lab equipment as needed and assist with maintenance.
• Verify patient identity and ensure accurate registration and demographics.
