Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lifts and transports patients using proper body mechanics.
• Transports patients and items to designated locations across the hospital.
• Reports changes in patient condition to clinical staff promptly.
• Verifies patient identity against wristband and ticket.
• Uses electronic software to track transport status (initiated, completed, delayed, cancelled).
• Returns and disinfects transport equipment and maintains supplies.
• Maintains patient information confidentiality.
• May collect patient equipment and deliver non-controlled medications.
