Job summary

Mercy Health System is seeking a Patient Transporter to move patients and equipment between departments within the Medical Center. You will ensure safe patient handling, utilize proper body mechanics, and coordinate with the Patient Transportation team.

The role requires BLS for Healthcare Providers certification, preferred High School Diploma, and two years of customer service experience. Epic software is used to track patient location and equipment movement across the facility.

Qualifications

• Preferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Licensure:
• Preferred Experience: Two years customer service experience.
• Preferred Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) program

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and equipment between departments.
• Maintain PAR levels for equipment across locations.
• Use Epic software to track patient location and equipment movement throughout the facility.
• Collaborate with other departments and teammates to ensure smooth operations.
