Talentify seeks a hospital transport/assistance associate to support patient movement, safely transfer patients between care areas, and assist with specimen transport and supplies within the OPS and OR setting.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of abbreviations and medical terminology.
• Working knowledge of equipment operation and safe use.
• Maintain proper body mechanics to prevent injuries.
• Knowledge of Hospital Policies and Procedures.
• Strict adherence to aseptic techniques and practices.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely between care areas using proper body mechanics.
• Prepare carts/beds for post-op transfers and assist in positioning patients.
• Transport specimens to lab in a timely manner.
• Assist in expediting delivery of supplies.
• Assist with shaves, prep, and routine OPS cleaning and labs.
• Record vital signs, obtain blood glucose samples, and document results.
• Discontinue IV catheters as directed and follow infection prevention policies.
