Job summary

Mercy is seeking a patient transporter to move patients and equipment between departments within the Medical Center. You will follow safe body mechanics and support co-workers across departments, using Epic to track patient locations and equipment movements.

The role requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and two years of customer service experience; BLS CPR/AED certification is preferred. Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Two years customer service experience preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) certification required or preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and equipment to and from departments.
• Ensure patient safety using proper body mechanics.
• Maintain PAR levels for equipment across locations.
• Collaborate with coworkers within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments.
• Use Epic software to track patient location and equipment movements.
