Responsibilities

• Prepare the patient for transport while waiting for nursing assistance.
• Report delays or canceled tests to the dispatcher and other hospital personnel.
• Complete transports and documentation within established time guidelines.
• Assist co-workers with lifting patients and provide help to make transport safe and efficient.
• Greet patient/guest and provide directions or assistance as needed.
• Operate transport equipment safely and efficiently and report equipment issues.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy per hospital policies.
