Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients between departments, including to and from patient rooms, testing areas, ED and clinics.
• Facilitate transport of equipment, supplies, and medical records as needed.
• Identify patients with two positive identifiers prior to transport.
• Assist patients with mobility limitations, including wheelchairs and stretchers.
• Follow established safety procedures when transporting patients.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and hospital personnel.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of transport equipment.
• Adhere to infection control and patient confidentiality policies.
• Report safety concerns or equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Assist in emergency situations per hospital procedures.
