Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare in Orem, Utah seeks a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, greeting, checking in/out, and verifying information to ensure smooth intake and care.

You will document calls in the EMR, schedule appointments, collect insurance data, and assist with forms and payments while protecting PHI and delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
• Basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in/out patients, and verify information as needed.
• Register patients and update demographic data in the registration system.
• Schedule appointments, procedures, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Document all phone calls accurately in the EMR.
• Assist patients with forms, insurance cards, and payments.
