Job summary

Intermountain Health's Utah Valley Clinic in Provo is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients. You will greet, check-in/out, verify information, and route requests to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, collecting demographics, obtaining insurance information, guiding customers through forms, and assisting with financial discussions while maintaining privacy and professional communication across

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provides courteous and professional connections with patients over the phone, in person or via secure messaging; resolves needs related to intake and care.
• Documents all phone calls accurately in the EMR.
• Schedules patient appointments for visits, procedures, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Registers patients by confirming and updating demographic data in the registration system.
• Obtains copies of insurance cards, IDs, signatures, and verifies COB or pre-certification details.
• Assists patients with forms and financial assistance; processes payments.
• Keeps updated on role responsibilities and clinic communications to ensure high performance.
