Job summary

AtlantiCare in Atlantic City, NJ seeks a Patient Care Technician for the 7 Harmony location. This part-time, day-shift role supports the patient care team by assisting with personal care, observing and reporting patient status, and helping with specimen collection under supervision.

The position requires a high school diploma, BLS within 30 days, CPI training within a year, and English proficiency. Bilingual candidates are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• CPI training within 1 year of hire or transfer.
• English language proficiency required; bilingual preferred.
• At least 8 weeks of patient care education or direct patient care experience; or enrollment in nursing/PA program.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with team.
• Proficiency in Clinical Applications; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care and daily activities.
• Communicate observations to the Clinical Associate.
• Collect test specimens and document care activities.
• Perform limited laboratory tasks: specimen prep, quality control, and instrument checks.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect in all interactions.
• Support the care team to meet patient needs.
