Job summary

AtlantiCare in New Jersey is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the patient care team. The role involves direct and indirect patient care under licensed supervision, assisting with personal care needs and contributing to the plan of care.

The technician collects specimens, supports data collection, communicates observations to the Clinical Associate, and uses clinical applications. BLS within 30 days and CPI training within 1 year are required; English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• American Heart Association BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• CPI training within 1 year of hire or transfer or by 10/31/25 for existing employees.
• Experience: English language required; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care needs and participate in the plan of care.
• Collect test specimens as directed and document care activities.
• Communicate observations to the Clinical Associate and support data collection.
• Perform Limited Laboratory Services as assigned and maintain competency.
