Indiana University Health seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCA) to deliver compassionate bedside care. You will assist with meals, mobility, bathing, and linen changes, while supporting the RN with vital signs and rapid reporting of changes. Safety protocols and aseptic techniques are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support certification through the AHA or completion of the IU Health PCA program.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate care for the patient population served.
• Up-to-date knowledge of procedures and standards related to patient care activities.
• Proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle high workload and maintain concentration under interruptions.

Responsabilités

• Provide drinks and assist with meal ordering to patients.
• Encourage walking and assist with baths and grooming.
• Provide clean linens and gowns to patients.
• Support bedside RN by obtaining vital signs and reporting changes.
• Maintain patient safety using gait belts and alarms, staying within arm's reach.
