Indiana University Health in Lafayette is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCA) to provide compassionate bedside care. You will assist with meals, mobility, baths, and linen changes while monitoring vitals and reporting changes to the RN. A focus on safety, infection control, and patient comfort is essential.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support certification through the AHA or attainment during PCA education program.
• Knowledge of care appropriate to the age and developmental level of the patients served.
• Up-to-date knowledge of procedures and standards related to patient care activities.
• Proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide drinks and assist with meal ordering.
• Encourage walking and mobilization.
• Assist with baths and provide clean linens and gowns.
• Obtain vital signs and report abnormalities to RN.
• Maintain patient safety using gait belts and alarms.
