Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at St. Anne Hospital in Toledo. The role includes assisting nurses, maintaining patient comfort, monitoring vital signs and helping with daily activities in a fast-paced unit.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential. The ideal candidate will have nursing aide training or CNA/STNA certification and basic EHR experience, with BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of nursing aide training program or CNA/STNA certification.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred; must obtain before direct patient care.
• Recent experience in acute care, physician's office, home health/hospice or long-term care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, and daily activities.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes.
• Delivers high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Documents patient care accurately and promptly.
