Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN in the Progressive Care Unit at St. Elizabeth Boardman.

The role supports daily patient needs, vitals, mobility, and routine care with emphasis on safety and effective communication. Ideal candidates include nursing students, STNA/CNA certified professionals, or those with at least 1 year of Aide experience in hospital or LTC settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; related certification encouraged.
• STNA/CNA certification or completion of acute care training is desired.
• Nursing student with first clinical semester or one year of relevant clinical experience also considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care under RN guidance.
• Records vital signs and reports deviations to RN.
• Assists with activities of daily living and patient comfort.
• Observes patients and reports changes to RN/physician.
• Maintains patient safety and adheres to hygiene and aseptic practices.
