Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct and indirect care under RN supervision. You will support patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to meet care plans.

Responsibilities include vitals, specimen collection, EKGs, and assisting with admissions and discharge activities. A CNA/MA/PCT program or HM H PCT Apprenticeship is required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of CNA, Medical Assistant or PCT program or nursing fundamentals program or HM H PCT Apprenticeship or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age, safety and education criteria.
• Take vitals and document findings; notify RN of abnormal results.
• Draw venipuncture or capillary blood and label specimens.
• Perform EKGs and assist with patient transport and daily tasks.
