Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pref 1 year experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CA DPH) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association required.
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) required; if no card upon hire, obtain within 30 days (LA City only).

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient calls within 10 minutes.
• Anticipates patient needs and proactively makes rounds to reduce calls.
• Maintains clean, organized patient rooms and assists with meals and feeding.
• Assists with ambulation, mobility, and transfers every 2 hours.
• Documents vitals, intake/output, and patient data; reports changes to RN.
• Collaborates with the RN on plan of care and communicates with patient/family.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to safety protocols.
