Job summary

The PCT will perform vital signs, daily weights, hygiene tasks, and assist with mobility while maintaining safety and patient confidentiality in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred.
• English language proficiency required (written and spoken).
• CNA certification (CA DPH) required.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) required within 30 days if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient calls within 10 minutes and assist with care per RN direction.
• Take vitals, daily weights, intake and output, hygiene assistance.
• Maintain clean patient rooms and assist with meals and mobility.
• Ensure safety and proper operation of equipment; manage call lights and accessibility.
• Document all care provided and communicate changes to the RN/Charge Nurse.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with RN at shift start and throughout.
