University of Southern California is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff in patient care delivery, clerical functions, and unit organization at Keck Hospital of USC. The role emphasizes timely response to patient calls, accurate documentation of vital signs and intake/output, and safe operation of equipment, while collaborating with RNs to implement the patient's plan of care.

Candidates should have CNA certification or grandfathered status, BLS, and strong English

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited Certified Nursing Program or CNA.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required or grandfathered.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to patient calls within 10 minutes and assist with care needs.
• Provide hygiene, daily weights, I&O, and mobility assistance.
• Assist with meals and transfers; ensure clean patient rooms.
• Document vital signs, intake/output, and care provided.
• Maintain safety of patient environment and equipment operation.
• Communicate plan of care with RN; report changes promptly.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with regulations.
• Collaborate with RN to support patient care throughout shift.
