Job summary

Intermountain Health in Grand Junction, Colorado, is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team on the 8th Floor Med/Surg at St. Mary's Hospital.

This PRN-night-shift role requires a Colorado CNA and BLS, plus solid computer literacy and strong communication with patients and families. Responsibilities include basic patient care, reporting changes, transporting items, and collaborating with the RN and interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Colorado.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred: CNA experience or nursing school enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and deliver basic patient care including toileting, bathing, linen and clothing changes, and comfort measures.
• Report and record patient care findings promptly and escalate changes in condition.
• May perform telemetry duties and monitor patients as required.
• Transport medications to the RN and collaborate with the care team.
• Assist with health unit coordination tasks and follow safety policies.
