Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician on the Neuro unit at St. Marys Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. The role supports the patient care team by delivering essential nursing assistance under licensed supervision.

Responsibilities include basic patient care, accurate reporting of care and condition, potential telemetry duties, medication transport, and possible Health Unit Coordinator tasks. Must hold CO CNA and BLS, with strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Colorado.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic patient care including toileting, bathing, linen changes, hydration, ambulation, and comfort.
• Report and record patient care findings in a timely manner and notify RN of changes.
• May perform telemetry duties and monitor patients as required on the unit.
• Transport medications from the delivery system to the RN on the clinical unit.
• Collaborate with the RN and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• May assume Health Unit Coordinator responsibilities as needed (phones, orders, unit records).
