Job summary

Intermountain Health in Grand Junction, Colorado, is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team in delivering compassionate, high-quality care at St. Mary's Regional Hospital.

You will perform basic nursing assistance tasks and, when needed, assume Health Unit Coordinator duties under supervision, collaborating with RNs and other team members to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Colorado CNA license and BLS certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; basic computer literacy.
• Ability to perform basic patient care tasks with compassion.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care tasks (toileting, bathing, linen and clothing changes, mobility) and respond to patient and family requests with excellent service.
• Report and document patient findings promptly; escalate changes in patient condition as needed.
• Assist with telemetry duties when required and support RN and care team to ensure optimal patient care.
• May act as Health Unit Coordinator, answering phones, transcribing orders, managing unit records, and stocking supplies.
