Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Cardiac Unit - St Marys Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. The role supports the patient care team by assisting with basic nursing tasks and coordinating unit activities.

Requires a Colorado CNA license, BLS certification, and strong communication skills. Primary duties include patient care, documentation, and collaboration with RNs, with possible Health Unit Coordinator responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in the state of Colorado.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and deliver basic patient care, including toileting, bathing, linen and clothing changes, fresh water and ice, ambulating, comfort measures, and other patient needs.
• Report and record patient care findings and data in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with RNs and the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• May perform Health Unit Coordinator tasks as needed, including phones and orders.
