Job summary

Mercy seeks a Patient Care Technician to assist in individualized patient care under the supervision of nursing staff. You will work closely with a team to perform clinical and non-clinical duties essential to patient wellness.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent; CNA/CPCT or enrollment in a healthcare program is preferred. BLS within 1 month and competency training within 3 months are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or enrolled in a healthcare career program.
• CNA/CPCT certification preferred; training as part of Mercy's UAP program is provided.
• BLS certification required within one month of hire; PCT competencies within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under RN or LPN supervision.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks.
• Work cooperatively as part of a care team.
