Ideal candidates have acute care exposure and nursing aide certification or equivalent training, plus strong communication and interpersonal skills to support patients and families.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in acute care, physician's office, home health, hospice, or long-term care.
• Must have completed one of: nursing aide training, STNA, CNA, or nursing program with clinical rotation.
• Must be licensed or certified as required for Ohio nursing aides.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, and hygiene.
• Serve as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes.
• Deliver high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Document patient care accurately and promptly.
• Participate in hand-offs and reports upon arrival and departure.
• Perform delegated tasks after competency validation.
• Move and transfer patients using safe techniques.
• Encourage patient independence.
