Job summary

IU Health is seeking a full-time Patient Care Technician (PCA) to support bedside care in Indianapolis, IN. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient comfort, and report observations to the RN to ensure rapid response and safety.

As a PCA you will help with meals, mobility, baths, linens, and maintaining clean, safe patient environments. The role requires BLS, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required or obtained through IU Health education.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient care.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting.
• Knowledge of infection control and hygiene practices.
• Commitment to patient safety and compassionate bedside care.
• Ability to read basic measurements and perform simple math.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of daily living, mobility assistance, and observation.
• Report changes to the RN and support the patient care team for rapid response.
