Job summary

Mayo Clinic is hiring Patient Care Assistants (PCA) to work alongside registered nurses and healthcare professionals in our Minnesota campuses. You will participate in a structured training program to deliver safe, compassionate patient care and support daily living activities for hospitalized patients.

Roles involve direct patient care, vital signs documentation, and collaboration with the care team. Positions offer part-time hours (0.5–0.7 FTE) with variable days/evenings and 8- or 12-hour

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand English.
• Completion of 12 college credits -OR- High school diploma/ GED with Nursing Assistant training or equivalent preferred.
• Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification or enrollment in orientation program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living (hygiene, mobility, nutrition, comfort).
• Obtain and document vital signs and intake/output in the EHR.
• Support a safe patient care environment following safety protocols.
• Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team to support care delivery.
