Job summary

Mayo Clinic is hiring Patient Care Assistants (PCA) to support hospitalized patients alongside registered nurses and other healthcare professionals. You will participate in a structured training program to develop the skills for safe, compassionate care, including daily living activities, vital signs documentation, and teamwork.

Opportunities include part-time schedules with 0.5–0.7 FTE (20–56 hours weekly) and an onsite PCA Hiring Event.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age prior to start date.
• Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living (hygiene, mobility, nutrition, comfort).
• Obtain and document vital signs, intake/output, and other information in the EHR.
• Support a safe patient care environment by following safety practices and protocols.
• Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team.
